Our history dates back eons with the Indus Valley Civilization (2600-1900 BC) in the northern regions, one of the oldest in the world, formed along the banks of River Indus that meanders not-so-effortlessly between India and Pakistan. Would you believe that King Alexander’s entire army had mutinied at the banks of this very river when they got fed up of his notorious ways and his need for incessant fighting?
North India’s also infamous because it was through here that the Silk Route between China and India was established, a means by which silk passed from China to India, and cotton, from India to China. Like they say, sharing is caring.
Down under, in the south, there’s plenty of history to zap you out of your senses. With strong influences from nomadic sailors from all over the globe, the Portuguese, French, Dutch and English, culture down south is very liberal because of these initial western influences.
