What is snorkelling?

To help explore our underwater world the activity of snorkelling involves participants in wearing equipment which helps them see & breathe better underwater & move freely managing their buoyancy. The equipment used is a mask which seals over the participants nose and eyes allowing the head to stay immersed. The mask has a breathing tube with a mouth piece which needs to be secured by biting. This way you can look underwater without raising your head for breathing. Flippers or kicks are used for better propulsion and are worn on feet like slip on shoes. We recommend a short course on Discover Snorkelling which will give you all the correct techniques along with tips & tricks for a better experience underwater.
