Our kayak school is located in the state of Tamil Nadu on the southeast coast of India and one of the best places to experience Sea Kayaking in India. The Palkbay, Rameswaram Island, the Gulf of Mannar has a number of epic locations to explore and learn the sport.

DISCOVER KAYAKING
Fall in love with this adventure sport! Get introduced to sea kayaking and explore the Palkbay. During our Discover Kayak session we paddle along the beautiful coastline enjoying the waters, paddling by lush green lands and being one with nature. At times, we also get the opportunity to spot interesting marine biodiversity and traditional fishing methods along the way.
To participate in this experience program you must be at least 10 years of age, have basic medical health, fitness and mobility. Swimming is not a necessary skill.

SEA KAYAKING LEVEL 1
Begin your journey with Sea Kayaking
Learn the fundamentals of Sea Kayaking with a professional coach. The Level 1 Sea Kayaking course builds on the basic strokes, manoeuvrability & safety drills. The course covers knowledge development and practical sessions on a sit on top kayak while exploring the coastline on a 5km paddle trip.
Sea Kayaking Level 1 is a one day course.
SEA KAYAKING LEVEL 2
Learn to tour on a Sea Kayak
Get ready to explore the full potential that sea kayaking has to offer with a sit-on top kayak and get introduced to sit in kayaks. Learn how to plan for a kayaking trip, tow, rescue and self rescue skills while exploring the coastline on a 10 km paddle trip.
Sea Kayaking Level 2 is a two day course.
SEA KAYAKING LEVEL 3
Get independent with Sea Kayaking
Get independent. Learn to plan & execute a 15 km Sea Kayaking trip. Advance your skills on the water & learn essentials like navigation, outdoor communication, camp craft & survival techniques. This course is challenging with assignments in coastal navigation, skill circuits & self rescue techniques.
Sea Kayaking Level 3 is a two day course.
SEA KAYAKING BOOTCAMP
Beginner to Independent
Level 1 + 2 + 3 all in one bootcamp! This Sea Kayak course encompasses all three levels over a period of four days. Suitable for participants who would like to put in the hard work to learn all the necessary skills to become an independent sea kayaker.
This bootcamp covers the skills in the Level 1, 2 & 3 courses.
Get independent with the sport, from basic navigation to preparing for a coastal paddle. This course is a gateway to planning your own sessions safely and efficiently.

SPECIALITY COURSE | SEA KAYAK ROLL CLINIC
Learn how to execute an eskimo roll (kayak roll) in a sit-in kayak. If you have completed your Level 3 course or have the experience of paddling independently - the sea kayak roll clinic is one of the most effective ways to get confident in these types of kayaks. Sit-in kayaks offer an array of benefits for experienced paddlers but require additional and specific skill training before your journey on longer trips.

PROFESSIONAL CourseS
If you want to make your passion for Kayaking into a profession these courses are made for you. Start with the Sea Kayak Instructor Course Level 1 and build your experience as a Kayak Instructor delivering discover programs. We highly recommend you sign up for the training program with logged paddling experience to be able to demonstrate the skills required for the entry test. Quest Sea Kayaking instructors are well sought by sports federations, adventure tourism companies, resorts and hotels for their ability to deliver high quality experiences in a safe learning environment.
SEA KAYAKING INSTRUCTOR COURSE - LEVEL 1
This Instructor Development program helps create instructors who can safely & professionally deliver Discover kayaking programs in flat water conditions using sit-on top kayaks only. The course is challenging & rewarding at the same time. To become a qualified instructor the participant must have a Level 3 Sea Kayaking certification and/or logged kayaking experience of minimum 30 hours (with an experience letter from employer) and an active Aquatic Rescue Certificate (ILS).
*Note qualified instructors have to revalidate their instructor certification annually by maintaining a valid ILS Aquatic Rescue certificate & online revalidation with Quest Academy.
Sea Kayaking Instructor is a three day course.
Sea Kayak Trips
Explore the magnificence of the Palkbay & Gulf of Mannar from a sea kayak. Our trips are well planned, curated and escorted by an experienced guide. You need to have some paddling experience before you join us for these trips.
The Island Paddle
Explore the islands in the Gulf of Mannar paddling with our experienced guide. A fully immersive & interactive session with opportunities to observe biodiversity and the way of life along the coastline.
